Welcome Window

By clicking on the New command in the Office button of Microsoft Word, the New Document window opens.



By double-clicking on the Blank Document or clicking on Create, a new Microsoft Word file or New Document appears in front of us.



Interface

Here is the interface of Microsoft Word, at the top is the title bar, then the controls of the window, and on the left side of the title bar, there is a quick access bar. Below it, there are menu tabs, clicking on which opens the ribbon of the corresponding menu tab. Along with this, there is a scroll bar on the right and bottom side. There is a status bar at the bottom of the document window, on which we see the number of rows used in MS Word, along with the number of words and the selected language tab on the right side of it. On the right side of the status bar, we see different screen views of MS Word, as well as a zoom slider. This is the interface of a Microsoft Word document.

Office Button

Followings are office button commands and there functions.


New

In MS Word this command is present in the Office Button or File Menu. This command is used to create new document in MS Word Application. Here you can also find templates such as resumes, reports, letters, etc.

Open

This Command is used to open an existing MS Word document.

Save

This command is used to save documents in MS Word. If your file is new than MS Word will ask for file name and location, if you are working on an existing file than this command will update your file. 

Save As

This command is used to create copy of existing document. This command is also used to change file name or location in Computer.

Print

This command is used to print out documents of MS Word application. When selected, it opens the print dialog box, where you can choose printer settings, specify the number of copies, select specific pages, and adjust other options before printing.

Close

This Command is used to close an MS Word document. If your file is new than MS Word will ask for file name and location
